Since I started my blog, I’ve found myself creating various tools to assist with different tasks. I thought it would be nice to share them, so I created this page to list them here, in case they can be of help to others.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me an email!
- Guestbooks — allows you to easily create and add a guestbook to your site. Note that you need a paid Bearblog account to embed a custom Guestbook with JavaScript (only paid accounts can embed JS).
- Kitty — a lightweight clone of Bearblog that lets you retrieve your posts through an API. I wanted an editor like Bear’s that I could use with a static site generator. You can also import posts from Bear!
- Mire — web-based, minimalistic RSS reader.
- Fido — crawls your site and tells you about any broken links it finds.
- Waybacker — periodically check your site and submit any new or changed pages to be archived on Wayback Machine.
- Longhand — Reliably extracts handwritten text as markdown. Great if you want to write your blog posts by hand or digitize existing notes. Note that the AI will refuse to work if your text includes violence or lewdness.
Other stuff
- My current theme's CSS — Not really a tool, but I wanted to share my blog's theme CSS somewhere, so here it is!
Buy me a coffee ☕
I’ve had some wonderful people ask how they can support the tools I’ve created. If you find these tools useful (and want to fuel my caffeine addiction), you can buy me a coffee via my Ko-fi page.
While I’m fortunate not to need the funds, your support helps with the goal of making these tools become self-sustaining and encourages me to continue creating new ones. Thanks so much for your kindness! 🤗
